We offer clients a single source for all the grades of coconut shell based activated carbon, Wood based activated carbon, Coal based activated carbon and Value added activated carbon. Coconut shell based carbon:-Coconut shell-based activated carbon is prepared from raw coconut shells by a complicated process. The Process:-It involves two stages 1)Carbonization involves heating to a high temperature in an inert atmosphere. 2)Steam Activation involves reaction with steam under carefully controlled conditions to develop specific pore structures and adsorptive properties. Steam activation at 800-900 ?C produces carbons with internal surface areas ranging from 900 to 1500 m2/g carbon. The Properties:-High hardness levels and low dust levels, High surface area, up to 1500 m2/g. High retentivity, Large fraction of micro pores (< 20 Angstroms), Low ash. The Advantages:-Better material handling characteristics in a situation where carbon fines cannot be tolerated, Possess long life and high adsorption capacity, Better control over desorption of adsorbed species, Ideal for removal of low-molecular-weight organics and for removal of trace levels of contaminants, Fewer impurities because of the low ash.
